Welcome to the Agricultural Products Area
of the Common Ground Country Fair!

In the Agricultural Products area at the Common Ground Country Fair, the Fair presents and promotes family farms selling their farm-made agricultural products, and suppliers of products used in agricultural production. Home to farm-made soaps, herbs and herbal tinctures, seed companies, dried flowers, gourds, maple products, compost, bonsai, fiber arts, apple ladders and more, the Agricultural Products is a lively marketplace celebrating the craftmanship, ingenuity and artistry of farming entrepreneurs.

Vendor Application Information

If you would like to apply for a vendor booth in the Agricultural Products area, please download the application packet available below. When reviewing vendor applications, Area Coordinators give preference to family farms that produce their own products. We also encourage exhibitors to give a talk or presentation at the Fair. If you are interested in giving a talk, demonstration or workshop at the Fair, please download and submit the CGCF Speaker/Demonstration Application available below.

Additional Agricultural Products Vendor Information

Food Items and Ingestible Products: All food items and ingestible products sold or given away as samples at the Common Ground Country Fair must meet the same standards as food sold by the vendors in our Food Area. This includes a thorough review of ingredients and ingredient sources by the Fair office. A copy of the MOFGA Food Policy and Food Ingredient Form are available for download below. If you are interested in selling or offering any food item, you must submit a complete Food Ingredient form with your application. Also, anyone selling ingestible products must show proof of liability insurance. Group coverage is available for Common Ground vendors. If you wish to offer food items or ingestible products, download these additional materials:

Invasive Species: Linked below is important information about the serious threat posed by invasive plants in Maine, including Asiatic Bittersweet. Please help protect our agricultural land and Maine’s precious ecosystems by reviewing this important material carefully, and by avoiding the use of invasive species in the products that you sell at the Fair. Thanks!

Talks/Demonstrations:  Agricultural Products area vendors may offer educational talks or demonstrations in the Hayloft, the Speakers Tent in the Agricultural Products area. A speaker/demo/workshop form is included in the application packet. If you would like to share your farming and/or gardening expertise with fairgoers, please complete this form and submit with your application.

Animal Product Vendors: Any vendor wishing to bring animals to the Common Ground Country Fair (for sale or as part of their display) should direct her/his application to the Maine Fiber Farms Area.

Cotton: If your business uses cotton, MOFGA strongly encourages you to consider going organic! While this is not a requirement for participation in the Agricultural Products area, using organic cotton to the greatest extent possible will strengthen your application. Please refer to the sidebar for interesting information about the ecological, social and economic benefits of organic cotton. Thanks!
