Welcome to the Crafts Area of the Common Ground Country Fair!
Applications for the 2010 Fair are closed!
If you would like to be put on our Crafts mailing list for the 2011 Fair,
The purposes of this area are:
- to contribute to the quality of rural life for Maine craftspeople by giving them a place to sell their work, and
- to to encourage craftspeople to use Maine resources in ways creatively compatible with the goals and objectives of MOFGA. All of the beautiful items for sale in the Crafts tents are hand-made here in Maine by some of the state's most talented artisans.
The Crafts Area is open to the individual craftsperson who resides in Maine and who makes high-quality work that is original in design and concept. We especially seek crafts that use non-polluting, organic materials and processes.
Remember - the Crafts Area is open to Maine residents only.

If you use cotton in your craft, MOFGA strongly encourages you to consider going organic! While this is not a requirement for participation in the Crafts Area, using organic cotton to the greatest extent possible will strengthen your application. Please refer to the sidebar for interesting information about the ecological, social and economic benefits of organic cotton. Thanks!
